For what it's worth, I still think the TI graphing calculator is a work of genius. Imagine how many programmers would have given up on their dreams if their high school math classes had kept them locked to content-consumption-oriented devices with locked-down application ecosystems and mindless MTV-style advertising campaigns...

(On that note, have I mentioned how awesome the Android SDK is?)
