Storm Clouds
the earth is my mother
the sky is my father
between them the air that I breathe
in storm clouds black brooding
they meet for their quarrel
in lightning my dreams are conceived
the wind and the water
my own two dear sisters
they sing of dark fears to believe
and all of my hopes and
my wishes for daylight
will break with the sunset unseen
Take shelter from rainstorms
lest you fall confounded
in wakeful black slumber deceived
the thunder that whispers
will pass into silence
and stars to new sunrise shall lead.
