This day is the answer to all of the questions. Hope is confirmed for us today &mdash not that all hopes are fulfilled, but that they are made right in the power of the resurrection. There is nothing that can stand against it. Spring "officially" began on the 20th, but this morning, of all mornings, holds the promise of new beginning. Death itself has been undone.
This is our "new year's day." Let's make it a year to remember.
A fire broke out backstage in a theatre. The Clown came out to warn the public; they thought it was a joke and applauded. He repeated it; the acclaim was even greater. I think that's just how the world will come to an end: to general applause from wits who believe it's a joke.
